ABOUT THE RIDE
Registration is now open for the experience of a lifetime. The Kenfrost Homes Pedal with Purpose Cape York 2023 tour will take place from Tuesday, 11th July – Wednesday, 19th July 2023. Once again, the boys from Cape York Mountain Bike Adventures have put together an exclusive action-packed tour. Most importantly, every participant on this tour will be riding for sick kids.As well as fundraising to support local sick and injured kids, participants will also enjoy breathtaking attractions along the way.
Ride Inclusions

600 km of a totally revamped route on all new trails.

Participants riding for sick kids will head from Cairns to Cape York via the famous Frenchman’s and Overland Telegraph tracks.

8 days / 8 nights with a mix of accommodation and camping.

Tour includes 2 flights (Cairns to Coen and Thursday Island back to Cairns), 2 ferries, 2 buses, with all meals and snacks provided whilst on tour.

CYCLING ABILITIES
Fitness and your ability to ride a mountain bike all day is key to your enjoyment and ability to complete the ride. You need to be a cycling enthusiast with above average fitness. The ride is amazing and very much mountain biking.
Your bike needs to be of a cross country/marathon nature and fitted with tubeless tyres (compulsory). It needs to be serviced beforehand.

All funds raised will go towards supporting local practical care programs:
Hospital-adjacent House in Townsville which can accommodate 24 families and over 100 people each night
In-hospital Ronald McDonald Family Rooms which provide the comforts of home within Townsville University Hospital and Mackay Base Hospital
Ronald McDonald Learning Program across North Queensland and Northern Territory which allows children that have suffered serious illness to catch up on their schooling by providing access to 40hrs of free one-on-one tutoring
Ronald McDonald Family Retreat in Palm Cove which gives families with a critically ill child or families suffering from a bereavement the chance to take time out together for a family getaway
Hospitality Cart in Mount Isa which provides practical support and comfort to seriously ill children and their families right on the hospital ward
