42.2km run (a Marathon run to finish!)
Whilst the thought of completing such an epic event is overwhelming at times, it truly does not compare to enormous hurdles faced by families when their child is seriously unwell.
Through my work as a paediatric physiotherapist, I have the privilege of supporting babies, children and teenagers, witnessing firsthand the resilience, strength and determination their families show each day. Their journeys are filled with uncertainty, hope and courage beyond measure.
That's why I'm dedicating my Ironman to raising funds for Ronald McDonald House - a charity that provides a 'home away from home' for families so they can stay close to their child during treatment, often far from where they live. Your support will help ease the burden for these families during their toughest times.

Well done sis! Also the Ronald McDonald House is amazing, me and my kids enjoyed using the Ronald McDonald House family room at Townsville hospital when my baby was really sick as a newborn and we were all staying at the hospital for a week. The family room made a massive difference to our stay, it made hospital feel like home.
You're an inspiration to so many, Donna! What an amazing way to show your kiddos that you also can do uncomfortable and hard things. Cheering you on from the sidelines, knowing that you will absolutely smash it!
