Building a community to support sick kids and their families on their healthcare journey
We believe that when a child is sick, the entire family needs comfort and support. We are there for families, helping them access the medical care and resources they need.
Whether it's ensuring they have a place to stay close to the hospital, so they are mere moments away from their sick little one, providing the chance for the entire family to take a holiday far from hospital walls, supporting families to help get their child caught up on missed schooling due to serious illness, or making sure that they have everything they need during a hospital stay, we're devoted to improving the health and well-being of seriously ill children and their families through our many practical care programs.
You can make a profound difference in their lives, too, by joining our community of passionate and committed supporters. And best of all, you can feel good knowing that your fundraising is directly supporting sick kids and their families in our region - read more about our practical care programs here.

The Saunders Family
No parent ever wants to hear that their child is seriously ill. Unfortunately, that news came to parents Erana and Steven when their sweet six-month old baby girl, Amara-Lee, was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, which causes a build-up of cerebrospinal fluid within the brain.
The McLaren Family
It was just a regular Sunday night for parents Jo and Scott until the unimaginable happened, an accident that left their 13-month-old son, Beau, with severe burns.
The Downes Family
Emily and Chris Downes began their stay at Ronald McDonald House Charities when they discovered Emily had a high-risk pregnancy. She was quickly flown from Mt Isa to Townsville University Hospital at 30 weeks pregnant.
