"They were there in our darkest hour when we arrived at the Hospital in the plane with nothing but the clothes we were wearing."
Luke's Story
In March, 8-year-old Luke was walking home from school when the unthinkable happened — he was struck by a ute while crossing the road.
Luke suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries, and had to be flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service from Mackay to Townsville for urgent treatment.
When his family arrived with nothing but the clothes on their backs, Ronald McDonald House was there. A room was ready. There was space for his little brother to visit. And there was a place where Luke’s family could breathe, rest, and gather the strength to be there for him.
Luke is still on his road to recovery, but his courage — and the love surrounding him — has been nothing short of heroic.
Right now, families like Luke’s need your help. Donate or start fundraising today — because no child should face their toughest battle alone.
