On November 18th, which is also McHappy Day - Rob Kidd will be at McDonalds North Mackay, in a make-shift jail. He’ll be joined by prominent Mackay, Isaac & Whitsundays locals who are required to get their "bail" posted, all to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia chapter.
All money raised for Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia helps to create, find and support programs that directly impact the health and wellbeing of children and their families. RMHC is there for families when they need it most: right in their own communities.
Here in Mackay, we have our very own RMHC Family Room at the Mackay Base Hospital which is run 100% by a dedicated team of volunteers.
It is a refuge for families while visiting or staying with a child in hospital. Step away from the clinical environment of the Hospital, and into our inviting Family Room, where there’s a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities and quiet rooms for rest and reflection. Our Family Room has both an indoor play area, complete with toys, boardgames and videogames, where kids can take some time out and have fun.
